She and her husband Danny adore their first child a beautiful little girl "Tenley Danielle" born late 2007 she is their pride and joy.  They also have three furry children, Spike the old boxer and Lexi and Maverick the english bulldogs.

Danny joined Steel Aviation in late 2005, he enjoys working with all types of clients from first time buyers to seasoned pilots. You will find him going out of his way to help you during your transaction. Coming from the construction industry Danny has a unique perspective on the market and customer service. Danny loves what he does and it shows!

An active pilot Danny has caught the flying bug and it has been nothing but airplanes every since completing his private, instrument, multi and commercial ratings.  Avionics and glass are Danny's specialities so if you have a question do not hesitate to ask.  You will find him extremely helpful and honest to a fault a quality that is one of Steel Aviations foundations.

Personally Danny enjoys wrestling, mixed martial arts, atv racing, and working on his muscle car collection. Danny married Jaime in 2005 in the Caribbean, you will find the couple’s favorite past time however is snuggling up with their three dogs Spike (the Boxer) Maverick and Lexi (the English Bulldogs).  Update..............The dogs have now taken a backseat to the couples first child a daughter "Tenley Danielle" she is mommy's little girl but daddy's pride and joy.

Sales specialist, Tim Pond, is the most recent arrival in Steel aviation’s hanger. Being the “old man” of our organization, Tim’s aviation experience spans the industry from aircraft manufacturing to flying as a line pilot with an airline.

Tim’s interest in aviation dates back to his childhood when his father, Dr. J.K. Pond, started flying. From his solo flight at age 16, he proceeded up the FAA certificate ladder to get the licenses needed to fly larger aircraft under more challenging conditions. While attending The Ohio State University, Tim added his instrument ticket followed shortly by a flight instructor rating and graduated with a BS degree in Industrial Design. Employment as a design engineer at Grimes Manufacturing and Fairchild Aircraft followed, advancing his understanding of aircraft construction and the business of aviation. Since 1985 Tim has been employed as a corporate pilot serving as a captain on the Hawker HS125, Cessna Citation 650 and 550. With nearly 10,000 hours logged in aircraft from the J3s to Hawkers Tim has the breath of knowledge and experience you can count on.

Tim brings to the table a deep passion for airplanes and the professionalism required to operate in the real world of aviation. This, in combination with his unquestionable honesty and integrity allow Tim to offer our clients the quality of service they have come to expect from Steel Aviation.


Derek Head, Sales Specialist

Growing up in Northern Minnesota, Derek knew that he wanted to be a pilot after his first airplane ride at the age of 5. He graduated from University of North Dakota's Aeronautical program in the mid-nineties and has nearly 20 years of flying experience from flight instruction to corporate flying to flying for a 135 charter operation. Derek feels fortunate to have served 3 years at The University of North Dakota Cirrus Flight Training Center working with hundreds of clients throughout the World assisting them in their Cirrus flight training needs. Derek maintains his currency as a flight instructor as well as a CSIP, and has almost 6,000 hours of flight time in several makes and models of aircraft.

Derek's down time is dedicated to family and friends. He loves golf, sports, and music.

Derek is looking forward to working with people to realize the dreams and freedom that flying has to offer. He is very excited to be a part of the Steel Aviation Team, bringing people and aviation together.
