“With over 8,000 hours of flight time, some of the coolest experiences I’ve had so far was working directly with owners and clients as a Factory Instructor for the University of North Dakota Cirrus Flight Training Center in Duluth”
Flying for over 25 years
Derek caught the flying bug early when he took his first airplane ride as a toddler. So it’s safe to say that aviation has been in Derek’s blood long before his first solo over 25 years ago! He graduated from The University of North Dakota’s Aeronautical Studies Program in 1995 and has stayed busy ever since-from Flight Instruction, to Charter, to Corporate Aviation, and flying the Airlines!
Years of Aviation Experience
Derek brings years of general aviation experience to the table from single-engine aircraft to large corporate jets. Residing in Southern California, Derek hopes to bridge the regional gap with the increasingly busy GA market on the West Coast.
Derek dedicates his downtime to spending it with his wife and 2 amazing kids! “They keep me busy but we have the coolest family dynamic I know!” Derek loves to hike, cook, golf, go the beach, and travel. He also volunteers his time in the community raising awareness and resources to help people with spinal cord injuries, disabilities, and adaptive sports.
